Overdue Shout-outs: Case Western, David Cushman, Ivan Pope, Useology

8 July 2008 by Michael Leis, View Comments

Can’t take another step further without giving some serious props to the folks out there who are taking time out of their busy lives to throw some love at us Emergers at the NMB… In no particular order:

Heidi Cool, Case Western University

Heidi Cool was nice enough to leave a thoughtful and interesting comment on Is Sound Writing Bad Blogging?, she also thought enough of the post to put it on Case Western’s Web Dev Blog. Thanks so much!

David Cushman, FasterFuture

Is everything this guy writes interesting and thought-provoking? Possibly. It was a sincere pleasure to have met David and hear him speak at the WidgetWebExpo. Nicer still are his comments here on the blog (from the article he inspired). Nicer still was getting coverage from him on FasterFuture for my presentation (the only written record that exists). In a perfect world, David and Steve Krug work right next to me.

Ivan Pope, Snipperoo

Unassuming mastermind behind the WidgetWebExpo and Snipperoo, thanks so much again for having me speak at WWE, and for the kind words about the presentation on the Snipperoo blog. Incredibly flattering. October? London? If you’re thinking about how Web technology is evolving with society, register now! I’m still digesting many of the presentations I saw there.

Dominic Tramontana, Useology

Dominic’s the first person to link over here that seems to really get the relationship we’re driving for here between manipulating time and space in TV and film as it relates to usability. You go!

  • Michael, thank you so much for those kind words. They mean a great deal and remind me that it's about time I added your blog to my list of recommended ones - which is what I'm off to do right now.
Would be absolutely honoured to work at the next desk. You never know, maybe that could happen some day. In the meantime, let's keep making the best of the global hotdesk!
